Each bottle in the Collection is numbered one (1) through to twelve (12), signed by the winemaker.
All profit from this Auction will go to the Murray Darling Environmental Foundation.
"The vision of the Murray Darling Environmental Foundation is to build a significant fund to undertake projects aimed at assisting the rehabilitation and sustainable approaches to land and water resources across the Murray-Darling Basin.
"The Foundation established a Water Bank to invest in water for environmental purposes. A small parcel of high security permanent water has been purchased for use in the long-term and will be added to over time. The Foundation Committee will deploy the water for works that benefit Murray-Darling Basin councils, environments and their communities." Further water will be purchased with the funds generated from this auction.
THE FOUNDATION
The Murray Darling Environmental Foundation is an initiative of the Murray Darling Association. The Foundation was formed to enable businesses, organisations and individuals to contribute in a tax-effective way to improve, maintain and restore land and water resources of the Murray-Darling Basin as well as developing environmental skills, capacity and best practice management among people, communities and organisations within the Basin.
This Foundation's projects and relationships complement and support the Murray Darling Association's membership of more than 100 Local Government councils and wider membership and provide leadership and project opportunities.
VISION
The vision of the Murray Darling Environmental Foundation is to build a significant fund to undertake projects aimed at assisting the rehabilitation and sustainable approaches to land and water resources across the Murray-Darling Basin. The Foundation has agreed that projects can be approved in the following areas:
- research;
- education;
- sustainable development;
- joint ventures; and
- works programs.
