LANGTON’S EXCHANGE – BUY NOW! Over 2000 cases of fine Australian and imported wine are available for members to BUY NOW from Langton’s Exchange. You don’t need to wait for an auction to close, prices are fixed and all wine is available for immediate delivery.

Langton’s Wine Exchange is a trading Exchange open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week where the seller sets the price. Wines are listed alphabetically by vintage year within country categories (Australia, NZ, France etc) and then, once a particular wine is selected, by price per case from lowest price to highest. It’s easy to use and offers buyers and sellers a new, more flexible and immediate way of trading in premium wine.

With offices and warehouses in both Sydney and Melbourne, Langton's is widely regarded as Australia's most influential and authoritative fine wine business. All Exchange wine is physically stored in Langton’s Melbourne warehouse and inspected by our expert cellar staff before listing.

A Selection of the Fine Wines Available Now on the Exchange

BALNAVES WINES – over 30 Cases – BUY NOW
Balnaves is an emerging name on the secondary market. Its Cabernet Sauvignon is well regarded and its prospects are linked to the skills of winemaker Peter Bissell and the likely resurgence of Coonawarra on the market.

CLARENDON HILLS WINES – over 50 Cases – BUY NOW
Clarendon Hills is the original new breed of cult winery. Clarendon Hills has found a strong place in the ultra-fine wine firmament.

CULLEN WINES – over 30 Cases – BUY NOW
Cullen Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot is one of the great Australian Cabernets. Cullen attracts a strong following on the secondary market.

GIACONDA WINES – over 20 Cases – BUY NOW
Giaconda Chardonnay appears to benefit from cellaring, which puts them into the elite league of Australian Chardonnay. This is an exciting wine with so much complexity and interest.

HOWARD PARK WINES – over 80 Cases – BUY NOW
Howard Park, established in the mid-1980s, quickly achieved notoriety for its wines –a highly innovative and well-respected wine producer that has gained considerable success in the market place.

KATNOOK ESTATE – over 20 Cases – BUY NOW
Katnook Cabernet Sauvignon reflects its unique Coonawarra vineyard site and has achieved considerable support in recent years. Katnook has enjoyed a strengthening presence on the secondary market.

LEEUWIN ESTATE – over 30 Cases – BUY NOW
Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay is the most highly prized Australian white wine on the secondary market. Indeed, it now sits with Penfolds Grange in the Exceptional category of Langton’s Classification.

MOSS WOOD – over 20 Cases – BUY NOW
Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon is an important secondary market performer. This highly respected Cabernet Sauvignon, now elevated in Langton’s Classification to Exceptional status.

MOUNT MARY – over 20 Cases – BUY NOW
Mount Mary is one of the great small wineries of Australia. Mount Mary is a strong performer across the board with a reputation for quality and longevity. The Quintet is the most successful wine although Pinot Noir and Chardonnay both achieve strong interest.

PENFOLDS – over 100 Cases – BUY NOW
Penfolds is probably the most extraordinary of the world’s wine brands with an enviable reputation for quality at every price level.

ROCKFORD – over 20 Cases – BUY NOW
Rockford Basket Press Shiraz is arguably the original cult wine. O'Callaghan's commitment to labour-intensive techniques for the sake of going the extra mile in quality makes Rockford Basket Press the quintessential hand-made wine.

WENDOUREE – over 50 Cases – BUY NOW
Wendouree is a great small Australian producer with an important cultural and historical identity. The Wendouree style is strongly focused with an emphasis on fruit power and weight. Wendouree Shiraz is considered one of Australia’s greatest.

WYNNS COONAWARRA ESTATE – over 20 Cases – BUY NOW
Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is referred to as Black Label. This wine, more than any other, has helped define Coonawarra. Wynns enjoys a solid volume of interest, spiking on recognised vintage form.

PLUS CASES of

BRAND'S OF COONAWARRA wines available to BUY NOW
The moderately priced Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Limited Release Merlot all illustrate a strong commitment to quality. Brand’s of Coonawarra should be doing a lot better on the secondary market. The top wines are not yet well known, but they have what it takes to last the distance.

CHARLES MELTON wines available to BUY NOW
Charlie Melton is a gifted winemaker and the man behind some of the most highly-prized and undervalued wines in the country. The wines are moderate performers on the secondary market attracting solid market demand. These are quiet cult wines – enthusiastically followed, but not at all costs. Just the way Charlie Melton would like it!

CRAIGLEE wines available to BUY NOW
Craiglee Shiraz is regarded as one of the top Shirazes in Victoria. They age well as they become more earthy and complex with softer tannins and length.

DALWHINNIE wines available to BUY NOW
Dalwhinnie Shiraz is a brilliantly seductive wine and is one of the best in the country. The Eagle, only produced in exceptional vintages, shows plenty of secondary market promise. The Chardonnay is also worth a look.

d'ARENBERG wines available to BUY NOW
d’Arenberg wines are very consistent across vintage and their distinctive livery style has given the brand considerable impetus in the market. Success in the Australian wine show system has also helped d’Arenberg become an important wine producer. They have a fair swag of individual wines – Old Vine Shiraz, Footbolt Shiraz and Ironstone Pressings – that are all well regarded. The seriously good Dead Arm Shiraz is a rising star in the secondary market.

DE BORTOLI wines available to BUY NOW
De Bortoli wines have become an innovator at the top end through the creation of Noble One Botrytis Semillon and through investment in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. The Noble One is the only dessert wine in Langton’s Classification and is a beautifully made wine.

FOX CREEK wines available to BUY NOW
A swag of great reviews, wine show trophies and high praise from Robert Parker Jr. for the 1996 and 1997 Reserve Shiraz and 1997 JSM Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon fast-tracked Fox Creek onto the international stage – bringing substantial interest from wine buyers all over the world.

GREENOCK CREEK wines available to BUY NOW
Parker Jr. has left the owners of Greenock Creek, the Waughs, completely flummoxed. The secondary market for Greenock Creek has been strong ever since the first Robert Parker Jr. reviews. The wines are incredibly opulent with a silken palate structure and plenty of fruit richness.

GROSSET wines available to BUY NOW
Grosset’s exquisite Polish Hill and Watervale Rieslings have led the charge in the Clare Valley Riesling renaissance. Although Jeffrey Grosset has been canonised by Riesling fanatics, he’s not half bad at Chardonnay either.

JASPER HILL wines available to BUY NOW
Jasper Hill has been largely responsible for bringing fame to the Heathcote region. Its Shiraz-based wines are simply superb. Jasper Hill is a very strong market performer. The consistency of style across vintage illustrates the superiority of this vineyard site and attention to detail. These are extremely beautiful wines.

LEASINGHAM wines available to BUY NOW
The Classic Clare label has rejuvenated its reputation as a high-quality producer and the winery has established a fine reputation for its Leasingham Classic Clare Shiraz. These wines perform extremely well on the secondary market, achieving values at moderate price levels.

LEO BURING wines available to BUY NOW
These wines have extraordinary cellaring powers – enjoy the delicate floral aromas, fruit purity and searing acidity right away; or be patient for a while as they complete their legendary metamorphosis. These wines are becoming increasingly rare on the secondary market. Values have risen markedly in the last few years, a reflection of their scarcity.

MAJELLA wines available to BUY NOW
The Majella wines are all extremely well made, drawing excellent reviews. This is Robert Parker Jr.’s favourite Coonawarra winery. His rave reviews have given it an international market. Majella has started to make an impact on the secondary market – with a strong primary following this label has excellent potential.

NOON wines available to BUY NOW
These wines speak with volumes of fruit and perfume and have captured the imagination of the local and American market. Noon wines have created a rampage on the secondary market.

SEPPELT wines available to BUY NOW
These wines have made a remarkable dent in the secondary market, especially in good vintages. The Dorrien is one of the most undervalued of all Australian Cabernets. It has been a sleeper for many years but is beginning to emerge from its slumber.

SHADOWFAX wines available to BUY NOW
It takes more than just vineyard site and winemaking process to make something meaningful and different. The sheer quality and definition of both the 2001 One Eye Shiraz and 2001 Pink Cliffs Shiraz reflect an intense collaboration between Andrew Tedder and Matt Harrop. When wine reaches this kind of plain it almost becomes a form of alchemy.

TORBRECK wines available to BUY NOW
Torbreck is a revelation. The winemaking philosophy is suitably offbeat, with strong ideas about the effects of ultra-violet and polymerising of tannins, gravitational pull and the phases of the moon and their effects on fermentation speed and Baume levels. This is a marvellously eccentric little place doing its own thing – and it’s all paying off. From a secondary market perspective, Torbreck has gone from 0 to 600kmh in 60 seconds. Not bad for a knock-about bloke in search of his own nirvana.

TURKEY FLAT wines available to BUY NOW
Turkey Flat Shiraz is becoming increasingly popular on the secondary market. In the context of Barossa Shiraz it offers strong regional provenance at a more affordable level.

XANADU wines available to BUY NOW
Xanadu is going through tremendous changes that could influence market perceptions. The Reserve is a superior wine to the standard Cabernet Sauvignon and deserves to be followed. It shows plenty of regional definition and structure to go the full distance.

YALUMBA wines available to BUY NOW
A lineage of three decades, proven cellaring potential, immense resources and a good winemaking team are all hallmarks of potential success. Yalumba Octavius is emerging as a very strong performer with quality rungs on the board. Yalumba’s investment in the sublime grape variety Viognier has resulted in the super-fine Virgilius. It challenges the notion that great wine has to be a cellaring proposition. Yalumba is an exciting producer with a clear eye on the cult and fine wine market.
