What is En Primeur?

Bordeaux En Primeur is the world's longest running commodities market. Also known as 'wine futures', En Primeur is when the Bordelais sell their wines while still in barrel. Merchants and buyers from all over the world flock to Bordeaux for a week to taste the wines en primeur and judge which wines they want to buy and for how much.
