<p>Sitting between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, this little appellation can sometimes get a little lost in between. Although, not because of their quality - the wines are a perfect bridge between Gevrey-Chambertin (for structure and tannins) and Chambolle-Musigny (with elegance and velvetiness).</p> <p>The appellation contains 4 main Grand Crus (5 if you include a small portion of <strong>Bonnes Mares</strong> which it shares with Chambolle-Musigny) including the <strong>Clos de la Roche.</strong></p>

<p>Alfred Hitchcock adored Burgundy, his cellar in Bel Air, Los Angeles contained a lot, but it was Chambolle-Musigny that was his favourite and that made up the majority of his collection.</p> <p>Regarded as producing some of the most elegant wines in the C&ocirc;te de Nuits, with rich concentration of fruit - though they tend to be a little lighter in colour. The village has two Grand Cru vineyards, <strong>Musigny </strong>which is rich and silky and <strong>Bonnes Mares</strong> (shared with Morey-St-Denis) which is firmer and broader, with impeccable ageing potential.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Vosne-Romanee is above all a symbol of elegance. A soft mouthfeel is its dominant characteristic, with discreet tannins and gentle acidity providing support. These fleshy wines are very aromatic, with notes of cherry, strawberry, and underbrush. The finish is very long.</p>

nuits-saint-georges

<p><span>Originally known as Nuits, then Nuits-sous-Beaune, in 1892 it opted to append it&rsquo;s name to one of its most important vineyards, Les St.Georges. The most obvious though, is the lending of it&rsquo;s name to the entire Cote which fittingly ends there (or starts if coming from the south).
