delatite
Situated in the picturesque Victorian Alps, Delatite’s first vines were planted in 1968 by pioneering vignerons Robert and Vivienne Ritchie. The winery was built in 1982 and Robert & Vivienne’s daughter Rosalind made the wines from 1982 until 2005. In 2011 a majority holding was sold to international pastoral giant Vestey Holdings Limited. Delatite is best known for its aromatic whites producing a number of different Rieslings alongside Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The winery also produces a range of reds from Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot, Tempranillo, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Since 2005 the winery has implemented biodynamic viticultural practices across all their estate vineyards.
