<p>Ox Hardy is the label of Andrew Hardy, known by the nickname Ox since his schooldays. He is also the great-great-grandson of Thomas Hardy, who founded the Hardy family wine dynasty in 1853. The flagship Upper Tintara Vineyard, at Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale, South Australia, remains Hardy-family-owned. Andrew (with his late father Bob Hardy) began winemaking trials in 2001 and released the first Ox Hardy wines in 2019 to great acclaim.</p>
