<p>A prominent family with deep historical ties to Valpolicella, the Speri family produces Valpolicella Classica wines steeped in tradition. The family&rsquo;s winemaking roots in the territory date back to 1874, and with members of both the 4th and 5th generations at the helm, it&rsquo;s one of the region&rsquo;s oldest family-run estates. Speri produces native grape varieties of the Valpolicella zone exclusively, with the family personally managing every detail. Certified organic since 2015, every grape that goes into their wines is estate grown and personally cultivated. Speri&rsquo;s wines are a thrilling version of the royal Veronese wines and they remain one of the foremost producers of authentic red wines the world over. </p>

Arguably the most famous producer in Pommard, the wines of Comte Armand have since the mid-eighties undergone a significant qualitative transformation, first under the leadership of French Canadian winemaker Pascal Marchand and currently under the helm of Benjamin Leroux. For many years the Clos des Epeneaux was the sole wine made at the domaine. In 1994, further vineyards were acquired; Auxey-Duresses, Auxey-Duresses premier cru, Volnay and Volnay Fremiets. Today the domaine maintains a strong adherence to biodynamic viticulture.
