<p><b>Chateau Angélus</b></p> Chateau Angélus is one of the most renowned estates of St-Emilion. Currently designated Premier grand cru classé (A) in the most recent 2012 Classification of Saint-Émilion, the estate is owned and managed by eighth generation Hubert de Boüard de Laforest and his cousin Jean-Bernard Grenie. Located in the centre-west of the St-Emilion appellation, the estate’s vineyards are planted on a warm south-facing slope. The Grand Vin is a dense, unctuous blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, that can appear slightly austere when young, developing greater generousity and richness with age. <p>A boutique wine producer, Atlas makes small batch handcrafted wines with a focus on individual vineyard expression. Owner and winemaker Adam Barton owns 6 hectares of Shiraz and 2 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon of hillside vineyards in the Clare valley and sources Riesling from the Clare&rsquo;s premium Watervale sub-region. Reds are also sourced from the warm and dry Barossa Valley to produce rich, ripe Shiraz styles, blended with Mataro or Malbec. Each label displays latitude numbers that represent the last three decimal places of the latitudinal GPS co-ordinates from where each wine originates.</p>
