<p><span>Handpicked Wines is a multi-regional operation focused on crafting superlative wines from Australia&rsquo;s most propitiously situated regions and vineyards. To facilitate this, a flagship vineyard and winery have been established on the Mornington Peninsula, with satellite vineyards in the Yarra Valley, Tasmania and Barossa Valley.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span>While each region offers different shades, articulated as meticulously crafted wines hewn of those cultivars best suited to the respective climate and geologies, five of Handpicked's vineyards focus on top-drawer pinot noir and chardonnay. These consist of two in Tasmania's Tamar Valley, Capella Vineyard in the Mornington Peninsula and two in the Yarra Valley, including Wombat Creek in the Upper Yarra, a Grand Cru equivalent boasting the highest elevation of any regional site.</span></p>

<p>Suertes is located on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands at the northern end of the Valle de La Orotava. The family have been farming vines for over 40 years but Suertes del Marques began in 2006.</p> <p>Owner Jonatan Garcia Lima runs the property and is part of a growing breed of intensely passionate young Spanish producers capitalising on the heritage vines and the volcanic soils to speak through his eloquent, mineral-driven wines. <br />Recently he has started working with talented young winemaker Luis Seabra. The estate has some very old, low-yielding vines that produce wines with freshness, balance, purity of fruit, minerality and authentic terroir character.</p> <p>Suertes del Marqu&eacute;s interfere as little as possible in the production of the wines, working with indigenous yeasts, avoiding racking and using only minimal amounts of sulphur.</p> <p>From off the beaten track, all the wines are single vineyard expres

chateau de l'aumerade

Established over 400 years ago, Chateau de l’Aumerade is an 89 hectare estate located on the sheltered plain of Pierrefeu, in the heart of Provence. Owned by Maison Fabre, Chateau de l’Aumerade is one of a handful of exclusive estates including heavyweights Chateau de Selle and Clos Mirelle from Domaine Ott that carry the designation Cru Classé of Provence established in 1955. The vineyards are planted to Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault with only estate-grown fruit used for the estate’s wines.

<p><span>Rieslingfreak was founded by winemaker John Hughes.</span></p> <p><span>The inaugural vintage was 2009 with a single vineyard Clare Valley Riesling. After that, the Rieslingfreak portfolio expanded to include the Eden Valley and Polish Hill River regions, showing dry, off-dry, Kabinett, sparkling and fortified styles. Each wine is given a number to denote region and style.</span></p>
