First Planted Gala Lunch and Auction

Langton’s is proud to partner with NSW Wine to present the First Planted Lunch and Gala Auction, hosted by our very own Master of Wine Andrew Caillard, comedian Jean Kittson, and the incredibly talented PLONK team.

UPDATE: Bid now on LIVE auction (further info below).

To be held on the 2nd of September at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the First Planted Gala will see guests treated to a three-course lunch accompanied by award-winning NSW wines including Brokenwood, McGuigan, Swinging Bridge, De Iuliis, Calabria, De Bortoli and more.

The First Planted Auction will feature 30 lots under the hammer, swung by Mr Caillard MW himself. It presents an incredible opportunity for wine lovers and collectors alike to bid for once-in-a-lifetime experiences and exceptionally rare wines from premier NSW regions and internationally-renowned producers. Everything’s available from the chance to bottle your favourite barrel of Tyrrell’s Vat 47 Chardonnay from the 2016 vintage to a vertical dozen of McGuigan Bin 9000 Semillon.

“With offerings from Brokenwood, Clonakilla, Lake’s Folly, McWilliam’s, Tyrrell’s and a wide array of regional producers, this aptly named First Planted Auction, reflects the ambitions of our forefathers and the aspirations of a new generation of winemakers. This auction comprises unique experiences and rare wines that express the voice, tastes and sensibilities of our State” said Andrew Caillard.

For those unable to attend, bidding on the 30 lots can be done remotely on the day, with the remainder to be available live on the Langton’s website until 9pm, Tuesday the 6th of September.

This exclusive luncheon and auction is guaranteed to fill up, so secure your spot at https://www.nswwine.com.au/langtons/ and join us for a day that promises to be filled with superb wine, food and memories that will last a lifetime.
