Langton’s is proud to partner with NSW Wine to present the First Planted Lunch and Gala Auction, hosted by our very own Master of Wine Andrew Caillard, comedian Jean Kittson, and the incredibly talented PLONK team.

To be held on the 2nd of September at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the First Planted Gala will see guests treated to a three-course lunch accompanied by award-winning NSW wines including Brokenwood, McGuigan, Swinging Bridge, De Iuliis, Calabria, De Bortoli and more.
The First Planted Auction will feature 30 lots under the hammer, swung by Mr Caillard MW himself. It presents an incredible opportunity for wine lovers and collectors alike to bid for once-in-a-lifetime experiences and exceptionally rare wines from premier NSW regions and internationally-renowned producers. Everything’s available from the chance to bottle your favourite barrel of Tyrrell’s Vat 47 Chardonnay from the 2016 vintage to a vertical dozen of McGuigan Bin 9000 Semillon.
“With offerings from Brokenwood, Clonakilla, Lake’s Folly, McWilliam’s, Tyrrell’s and a wide array of regional producers, this aptly named First Planted Auction, reflects the ambitions of our forefathers and the aspirations of a new generation of winemakers. This auction comprises unique experiences and rare wines that express the voice, tastes and sensibilities of our State” said Andrew Caillard.
For those unable to attend, bidding on the 30 lots can be done remotely on the day, with the remainder to be available live on the Langton’s website until 9pm, Tuesday the 6th of September.

AUCTION IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ONLINE BIDDING
Bidding for the NSW Live Auction, will move on the 2nd September from online at langtons.com.au, into the room at 11am, where the final bidding will take place under the direction from Andrew Caillard MW.
No further bids for the Live Auction will be accepted through your online account, after 11am on Friday the 2nd September. The Live Auction will close at the fall of the auctioneers hammer in the room on Friday 2nd September.
Bidding online: Langton’s recommends that you place your maximum bid through your online account, prior to the Live Auction moving into the room, where the Auctioneer will be bidding on your behalf. Please note, you may have the leading bid at 11am online, but the successful bidder will be declared at the fall of the hammer, by the Auctioneer, live in the room.
All bids for this auction must be made through your online member account. The Online Auction closes at 9pm, 8th September.
