Ultimate Single Vendor Auction Series

" One of the best private cellars we've ever seen "
Tamara Grischy
Langton's Head of Auctions

Our ‘Ultimate Single Vendor’ auction series continues this weekend with two sales, one focusing on red Burgundy, the other on Champagne and white Burgundy.

Both auctions are open until 7pm this Sunday evening, September 30. Why not put a reminder in your phone so you can check on the wines you’re interested in and avoid being outbid at the last minute.

This auction series represents the sale of what is probably the finest private wine collection seen in our 30 years as specialist wine auctioneers.

Head to our auction pages to check out the 575 items (854 lots) in the Ultimate Single Vendor - Burgundy auction.

You’ll find everything from 1er cru Bouchard Père & Fils Monthelie-les-Duresses 2005, expected to fetch $45-$55 per bottle, to magnums of DRC La Tâche and Armand Rousseau Chambertin worth $6000 per bottle and up.

The companion auction, Ultimate Single Vendor - White Burgundy & Champagne, includes 432 wines (713 lots) and offers a similar range of products.

Head to our auction pages to check out 87 lots of ultra-fine wines from Australia and New Zealand (many of them Langton’s Classified) and 307 lots of top Bordeaux, including a litany of classed growths, great vintages and 95-100 point-scoring wines.

In total the auctions will include more than 5000 bottles, all with guaranteed provenance. Altogether, their value is 'in the millions', says Langton's Head of Auctions, Tamara Grischy.

At one end of the white Burgundy scale, expect to pay just $20-$30 for 2011 Jean Chartron 1er cru Saint Aubin Chardonnay to $4000-$5000 per bottle for 2000 Coche-Dury Corton Charlemagne.

Champagnes range from 1990 Salon le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs ($800-$1000) to Pierre Moncuit Delos Grand Cru NV Blanc de Blancs Brut ($35-$40).

In total the Ultimate Single Vendor auctions include more than 5000 bottles, all with guaranteed provenance - stored in temperature controlled conditions since their purchase on release.

Altogether, their value is 'in the millions', says Langton's Head of Auctions, Tamara Grischy.

Look out for four more Ultimate Single Vendor sales over the rest of September.
