Vinosphere 2019: Taste over 500 local and international wines

Over 500 wines from more than 150 producers, ripe for the tasting. Wine lovers, just let that sink in. Vinosphere—the epic wine tasting event—is returning in 2019 with a not-to-be-missed showcase of drops both local and international.

Langton’s is thrilled to be partnering with Vinosphere for dates in Sydney (24 June) and Melbourne (17 June). This is a wine calendar essential, a grand-scale tasting like no other, and an absolute must for wine drinkers, collectors and oenophiles.

A wine calendar essential, a grand-scale tasting like no other.

Vinosphere sees respected importers and wholesalers Vintage and Vine, Enoteca Sydney, Vinous and Langton’s open their vast portfolios to ticket-holders, who will be able to access a breadth of wines generally reserved for private business. We’re talking the heavy hitters, geographically speaking. From the hallowed soils of Burgundy and Barolo to roads less travelled spanning the Continent, this is an idyllic European vacation where your complimentary Riedel tasting glass takes the place of a passport.

So, what exactly will you be tasting? Looking abroad, you will be treated to the likes of Elvio Cogno Barolo, Il Carbonaione, Rudi Pichler Achleiten, Champagne Benoit Lahaye, Berthet-Bondet Jura, Domaine Lécheneaut Morey-Saint-Denis, Damien Laureau Savennières, David Duband Burgundy and Roche Paradis Côte Rôtie.

Barolo and Burgundy, Champagne and Sicily—an idyllic European vacation without the need for a passport.

Local flavour won’t be in short supply either, with a roster of very special Australian guest producers in attendance, including Bass Phillip, Castagna, M. Chapoutier, Clonakilla, Curly Flat, Dawson James, Dirty Three, Koerner, Soumah, Timo Mayer, Torbreck, Tyrell’s and Vignerons Schmolzer & Brown.

We here at Langton’s are pleased to be part of Vinosphere 2019, where we will be introducing attendees to a special and exclusive edit of wineries we are proud to be championing right now. Many of these wines will only be available on the night. Experience Champagne Coessens, Domaine Nicolas Rossignol, Domaine François Carillon, Le Château du Moulin-à-Vent, Michele Chiarlo, Podere Il Carnasciarle, Misha’s Vineyard and Familia Zuccardi.

For one night only, enjoy exclusive wines and offers from a selection of Australia's most respected importers and wholesalers—including Langton's— only available at Vinosphere.

Taste something you like on the day (a rhetorical question)? As Vinosphere’s delivery partner, we will take your orders for any and all wines (not just those we are exhibiting) at the show for delivery, with limited event-only pricing.

Tickets are limited to guarantee an intimate, memorable experience for all guests. $50 (plus booking fee), will get you entry and tasting access, plus a complimentary Riedel Ouverture Magnum wine glass ($20 RRP) from which to sip on the night, then take home as a lasting souvenir. Only one question remains: of the more than 500 wines on offer, which will be your favourite?

Vinosphere 2019 Melbourne will take place on 17 June, 6PM. Buy tickets.
