Week in Review 07-11-18

Langton’s 30th Anniversary year may be nearing its conclusion, but there’s still plenty of time and opportunity to join in the celebrations.

Every $100 you spend at Langton’s until midnight next Wednesday, December 12, automatically gains you an entry in our 30th Anniversary competition.

Three major prize winners will enjoy unique and exclusive winery experiences thanks to our lead partners, the Barossa Valley’s Hentley Farm, the Yarra Valley’s Oakridge and McLaren Vale’s d’Arenberg, home of the famous d’Arenberg Cube.

Appropriately, you receive TWO entries in the competition for every $100 spent on wines from Hentley Farm, Oakridge and d’Arenberg.

Christmas delivery cutoff dates

Ensure your wines arrives in time for your celebration. Please speak to your Langton’s wine broker for any delivery related queries - view Christmas delivery cutoff dates.

Total prize value is $20,000+ including Vintec wine cabinets, Coravin wine preservation systems and $50 Langton’s vouchers. We’ve already given away two 110 bottle, dual-zone Vintecs (each worth $2388) two Deluxe Coravins ($695 each) and a heap of $50 vouchers.

Wine makes a great gift. We opened Langton’s Museum Store for business earlier this month – and got (virtually) knocked down in the (online) rush.

We’ve restocked the store with back-vintages, plus some more big bottles, and it’s open for business again.

And then there’s this week’s other great offers…

Wine of the Week.

Ned Goodwin MW

Champagne and Ned Goodwin MW

On Wednesday evening, around twenty guests joined us in the Langton’s Tasting Room for a celebration of Grower Champagne. Ned Goodwin MW, led us through nine vintage and non-vintage wines from grower producers Robert Moncuit, Vazart-Coquart and Pierre Gimonnet & Fils as well as the 2009 Pol Roger as a comparison of a grand marque.

Ned combines the academic knowledge of MW with the flair of a sommelier and shared his infectious passion for fizz. It was a wonderful way to sign off what has been the most incredible year in events. If you want to stay up-to-date with all of our events, head over to our events page or talk to your broker.

COMING SOON: TOP SIX WINES OF 2018

Next week we’ll be choosing Langton’s Top Six of 2018 - the wines that had the most impact on you, and us, over the past year. You’ll see them revealed, one at a time, over the six days between Christmas and the New Year. We have so many great candidates that it’s wide open at the moment. The final selection will be well worth your attention - just two more weeks to wait.

If you haven’t finished shopping, remember that wine makes a great gift - and if you live in urban Australia we can deliver online purchases before December 25.

Regards,
The Langton's Team
