Week in Review 08-06-19
Saturday, June 08, 2019 in Review
This week at Langton’s, we rolled out a cavalcade of new vintages, museum releases, reductions, bargains and last calls on the finest wines from our Australian and international portfolios.
Our Access Burgundy offers are a chance to stock up on the world’s most obsessed-over wines with great savings in a notoriously tight market. Through our brokerage and online, our in-the-know customers snapped up Grand and Premier Crus for the cellar and village wines to enjoy a little sooner.
For those with a little more patience, Bordeaux En Primeur 2018 releases keep coming day-by-day with the ‘First Growths’ expected soon. This week we saw ‘Super Seconds’ Châteaux Léoville-Las Cases and Pichon-Longueville Lalande released with reviews that skirt perfection. And they’re not the only ones. What a vintage!
Access Burgundy for Less
Save up to 30%
Burgundies are the most obsessed-over wines in the world. Their production is strictly limited, making them rare, and high levels of international demand keep pushing prices up. This is an opportunity to access Burgundy for less. These offers end this week. Last call to save on Burgundy!
LAST STOCKS - MAGNUMS
Langton’s Best Value Burgundy!
Faiveley Clos des Myglands
Mercurey, 1er Cru
You won’t find these three in our Access Burgundy list. They already represent some of the best value, most accessible 1er Cru Burgundies we carry in our portfolio. Our various vintage allocations routinely sell out but we do have a large format vertical of the 2014, 2015 and 2016 available in magnums. Buy one, all three or mix them up. Incredible value that solves the common problem of having to open two bottles Premier Cru red Burgundy. We've thought of everything!
Explore the Grampians
The Grampians has been a source of great wine for quite some time (Seppelt planted St. Peters in 1863). You’ll find most of the major varieties grown in the Grampians but the region is best known for its Riesling and Shiraz. A.T. Richardson and Fallen Giants are recent arrivals at Langton's while Mount Langi and Best's are firm favourites with our customers. Producers from the Grampians over-deliver on value as standard, it seems. If you have yet to discover the Grampians, it’s time – you won’t be disappointed.

That’s all for now. Have a great weekend!
