Langton's has acquired just 21 bottles of 2014 Château Lafite Rothschild - James Suckling found it "Fascinating" and so will you.
In other news, Ben Gould, the Margaret River mover and shaker from Blind Corner winery, popped in to open some of his bottles for us. It’s a real treat to see what young guns are doing in the region. It was a thrill to sample the new release Cullen Diana Madeline 2017. The word “approachable” was heard more than once in the tasting room, and nary a broker was seen without a smile on their face after the first sip.
Looking further afield, our International Buying Team got to show off a fresh new find in the form of some exciting German Riesling. The brothers behind Thörle have reinvigorated their over 300-year-old family estate in Rheinhessen and are already making noise internationally. We are proud to be the exclusive importers of their wines into Australia. .
Finally, a quick security update. New mandatory password parameters have been set, so if your existing password doesn’t adhere to these, you will be asked to choose a new one on login to the Langton’s website. Never fear—you’re safe in our hands.

The First Growth wines of Bordeaux are, to many, the grandest wines in the world. Access to this level of luxury is rare. At the time of writing, we have just 21 bottles remaining of this highly desirable example. Don’t hesitate.
Ritme Cellars Priorat DOQ 2016
The new wave of Spanish wines are a bit different to their full-bodied ancestors. Younger, fresher, more tempered—that’s where the 2016 Ritme Priorat DOQ comes in. Ritme means ‘rhythm,’ and this is a wine worth listening to…on repeat. Meet the new-gen of Spanish wine.
Thörle Riesling Selection
The Thörle family has been making wine in Germany's Rheinhessen region since the 16th century, but in 2006 a new generation took over. Now, brothers Christoph and Johannes Thörle are revitalising Rheinhessen with their organic offerings, attracting plenty of international accolades. Find out what all the buzz is about.

Jim Barry Lodge Hill Riesling 2018
Jim Barry’s 2018 Lodge Hill was recently crowned Best Current Vintage Riesling at the Clare Valley Regional Wine Show. It also scored 96 points and an Elite Gold at last year’s Canberra International Riesling Challenge. With accolades coming in hot, plus that irresistible Jim Barry pedigree, $20 is a smart price for what Huon Hooke has deemed a “very smart” Riesling.
Cullen Diana Madeline 2017
Evocative. Elegant. Classified 'Exceptional'. The 2017 vintage of Cullen Diana Madeline has arrived. This 2017 release further confirms it as one of the great Australian Cabernets. Whether you've only just begun collecting or already have a few stashed away, it's another 'must have'.
Vale Raymond Chan
This week we learned of the passing of Raymond Chan. Devotees of New Zealand wine will likely be familiar with Raymond and his work. An early voice for the New Zealand industry in a formative era, Raymond championed the wines of his home country for four decades through writing, reviewing, judging and advising. A toast to Raymond, whose passion has inspired many through the years.
