Domaine Bruno Clair Les Champs Perdrix Vosne-Romanée
The Vosne-Romanée Villages plot of ‘Les Champs Perdrix’ measures at just under one hectare and is located just above ‘La Tâche’. The soil here is poor and difficult to cultivate, and the Domaine claims it has taken 30 years for the vines to establish themselves. And they have!
The wines now show sap and finesse, two qualities expected of Vosne-Romanée and, frankly, demanded at this price. But the wine delivers Vosne-Romanée experience at a Villages level and will age well for a decade.
'Light to mid cherry. Fragrant and red-fruited on the nose. Juicy, fresh, supple texture. Light and easy but all in balance.'

'Palish medium red. Slightly reduced aromas of red plum, raspberry, spices and wild herbs, plus a touch of leathery rusticity. On the palate the red fruit flavours are nicely accented by spices and wild herbs and enlivened by surprising acidity and tangy minerality. Like some of the preceding wines, this needs a racking.'

Renowned for producing some of the finest and most expensive wines in the world, it is one of the jewels in the Côte de Nuits’ crown and boasts the biggest concentration of top vineyards in the entire Côte d’Or with some of the world’s finest producers - not only with talent, but pioneers of innovation.
The wines are intense and powerful with finesse and elegance. Although Vosne-Romanée’s Grand Cru wines of La Tache, La Romanée and Richebourg are a wine aficionado’s household names (and dreams), the commune’s Premier Cru wines are magnificent and with a well deserved reputation.
