Winery MARQUIS PHILIPS

Langton’s Selections Marquis Phillips Integrity Shiraz The Marquis Philips was originally developed by American wine importer/ entrepreneur Dan Philips and winemaking couple Sara and Sparky Marquis for largely the American market. At one stage production under Marquis Phillips reached 120, 000 cases – a remarkable achievement. It is now marketed under R Wines – a collaboration between Dan Philips and Chris Ringland. The wines have been described as “the most exciting development that has occurred in the Southern Hemisphere over the last several years.” This is of course an extravagant exaggeration that simply cannot be believed. The Integrity Shiraz – twice achieving 99/100 points – is the highest priced Marquis Phillips wine on the secondary wine market. Marquis Phillips is not a mainstream label in the Australian market. It has however achieved strong recognition for its good value red wines in the North American market, including its Roogle Red (Shiraz Cabernet) and Shiraz 9. Good luck to them.
