The richly concentrated HJ Reserve Shiraz derives from the best parcels of estate-grown vines planted in 1948. After traditional open fermentation, the wine is matured in new (now 30%, originally 100%) and seasoned French hogaheads for 24 months
Ripe, saturated and expressive, it typically shows deep-set blackberry and liquorice aromas, dense chocolatey textures, underlying mocha complexity and mineral length.
