The 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chatenière comes from vines on hard limestone and some parts suffered some hydric stress, according to Olivier Lamy. It has a rather austere bouquet at the moment with reluctant flint and smoky scents developing in the glass. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry with good acidity, linear and correct, again more austere than Olivier Lamy's other crus in 2015, with a saline finish. It has just been sulfured, so I expect it will develop more fruité by the time of bottling. Good potential here.
