Moreau is one of the most celebrated names in Burgundy, and winemaker Fabien Moreau’s efforts under his father’s Domaine Christian Moreau label do the family’s indefatigable heritage proud.
This Chablis is a benchmark expression. Grown in some of the best of the region’s vineyards, it comes from vines aged 40 years or more, located in the Les Pargues site. This is nestled between two Premier Cru sites. The wine is aged in 100% stainless steel for ultimate fruit purity. It is rich and balanced, with moderate weight. A Chablis to savour.
Simple, refreshing apple fruit with rounded texture and moderate length. Recognisable Chablis, with decent persistence but no great complexity. 16/20 points, Richard Hemming MW, jancisrobinson.com (1/2018).
100% stainless... A slightly riper if modestly less tropical nose reflects just enough Chablis character to be persuasive. The round, rich and more voluminous flavours possess good punch and concentration while delivering better depth and length on the somewhat drier finish. Drink 2020+ 87-89 points, Burghound (10/2017).
