Jean-Louis Chavy Puligny-Montrachet
Jean-Louis Chavy Puligny-Montrachet is such a reliable source of white Burgundy and great value. The fruit for the Jean-Louis Chavy Puligny-Montrachet is sourced from 20 to 60-year-old vines from plots such as Les Reuchaux, Les Meix, Les Levrons, Les Tremblot at the southern end of Puligny-Montrachet bordering Chassagne-Montrachet and Corvée des Vignes at the northern end which borders Meursault.
As a consequence of this broad available selection, this Villages Puligny-Montrachet is more round, more ripe and shows more fruit than its sister Village Puligny-Montrachet of ‘Les Charmes’. Jean-Louis Chavy’s Villages Puligny-Montrachet holdings are as much as 2.35 ha of Villages classified vines in addition to the .43 ha plot of ‘Les Charmes’ which borders the Premier Cru ‘Les Referts’ but is vinified and bottled separately.
Puligny Blancs have a distinguished bouquet of almond paste, ferns, tropical fruit, amber, and white flowers. Their discreet acidity leaves room for a very soft mouthfeel and an impressive long finish.
