When two respected Burgundian producers team up, something a bit special is sure to transpire. Such is the case for Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollot, whose 50/50 is a Languedoc wine brimming with elegance and drinkability.
This is a true vin de table, yes. It’s light in body, but not in character. Primarily Grenache, Syrah and Carignan also play a part. The result is pretty and fruit-filled. It’s a relentlessly refreshing wine, ideal for food, or just a few glasses with friends.
Equal parts Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah, the 2016 IGP Cotes du Brian La 50/50 aged only in stainless steel. It's fresh and fruity, boasting bouncy berry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, with a tart finish and a silky mouthfeel. Drink it over the next few years.
