Forest Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is a brilliantly formed Great Southern Cabernet, brimming with quality and value to boot.
Deep and dark, this is all Black Forest berries on the nose. On the palate, it is a full-bodied experience, with luscious cherry fruit, spice and oak. The tannins are fine, and the length impressive.
From blocks 5, 6 and 7 planted '75 (the oldest plantings of cabernet in the Great Southern), matured for 15 months in French barriques. Has the erect pride and self confidence of Mount Barker cabernet sauvignon. It sweeps away the oak, leaving a long spicy/savoury finish.
