Made by the traditional method, it spent 8 years on lees before disgorgement in Apr '18. Always a favourite. There's a special mix of intensity, finesse and length, purity another word that comes to mind. The flavours are of grapefruit, white peach on the one hand, cashew and cake on the other.

Light to medium yellow colour, with a superbly complex, mature bouquet showing lots of toasty lees aged character. Some dairy-like malolactic overtones. Full-bodied, rich and ample in the mouth, dry and savoury with exceptional flavour and character. Very dry finish and creamy smooth mouth-feel. An outstanding wine. (Nine years on lees; dosage 4 grams/litre)
