A blend of 69.6% pinot noir and 30.4% chardonnay with some reserve wines. A spectacular 9 years on tirage/lees. Salmon-pink. How can a wine of this age be as delicate, fresh and red-fruited as this. A knockout in every respect.

Light rose-gold hue, barely a pink colour. The bouquet is complex and pinoty with a strong note of quince paste. It’s rich and fruit-sweet, generous and rounded, with a touch of sweetness and lively acidity backing up. Very good in a full, round, opulent style. Very fruity on the nose. It will no doubt be better integrated after a little more time on cork. (70:30 pinot noir to chardonnay, nine years on lees. Dosage 7 grams/litre)
