'The nobly sweet wines of this estate have long been impressive, although the style has changed since Michael Wenzel took the reins. And his dry wines are getting increasingly interesting. New plantings – including some from old selections in Tokaj, isolated in collaboration with Istvan Szepsy – will gradually raise the volume of Furmint at this address. And last year, the Wenzels re-propagated some recently discovered “degenerate” Furmint vines that survived the mid 20th Century in Rust and may be descendants of an ancient local strain.'
