Made from small parcels of grapes grown in the Tiger vineyard in Lowburn. Pure, limpid Pinot Noir with bright cherry, spice and a hint of raspberry. Appealing wine, with a core of sweet fruit that's perfectly balanced by fine tannins. Accessible now but with good potential. Drink 2015 to 2022. 95 points, Bob Campbell, MW (bobswinereviews.com).
"Supremely elegant Central Otago Pinot Noir, hauntingly aromatic with lifted floral and red fruit characters. On the palate I noted red and black cherry, violet and a thread of chalky minerality. Supple and enchanting wine with power that is delivered with great subtlety. Quite different to the fruit bomb style that typifies the popular perception of Central Otago Pinot Noir." 97 Points Bob Campbell MW
