...raised in a combination of foudres and barriques... Vivid ruby-red. Spice-accented red berries and fresh flowers on the fragrant nose, lifted by zesty minerality. Pliant raspberry and bitter cherry flavours show very good focus and spread out slowly with air. Smoothly plays depth off vivacity and finishes spicy and long, displaying just a hint of dusty tannins.

If the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape has a weakness, it's that it is too easy, too supple and too seductive. Already delicious, it boasts oodles of ripe cherries and stonefruit, a creamy mid-palate and a touch of warmth on the finish. It may not be super long-lived, but why wait?
