François Carillon’s 1er cru Les Folatières is a rich, ripe Puligny-Montrachet that coats the palate with decadent floral and pear flavours. Balanced and elegant, with impressive roundness, the line of acidity breaks through the opulence artfully.
From two plots of old vines, 50+, making up half a hectare. Gorgeous clear lemon and lime colour with a nose reflecting the extra power that Folatières can offer. Very attractive fresh yellow plum fruit with a little bit of youthful bitterness adding grip at the back, all nicely woven in. More poise and zest than Champgains.

The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières is showing well, revealing aromas of orange oil, spices and fresh apricot, complemented by inviting hints of freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and supple, its ample core of fruit is underpinned by lively acids.

Puligny Blancs have a distinguished bouquet of almond paste, ferns, tropical fruit, amber, and white flowers. Their discreet acidity leaves room for a very soft mouthfeel and an impressive long finish.
