…made with a light touch to produce a wine with appealing purity and subtlety. Red cherry, rose petal, wet stone mineral and spicy oak flavours. Silky texture with fine peppery tannins on the finish. A wine with a strong sense of place. The Real Review.
A quietly spoken beauty with a steely backbone...
…fills the palate with perfumed red berry flavours supported by grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with mineral notes. 93+ points, The Wine Advocate
…sparkles like a perfectly cut diamond with a level of sophistication and subtlety uncommon in Otago Pinot… Delicious sour cherry fruit flavours, plush, with a hint of oak culminating in a long fragrant farewell. This is as good as any Pinot I’ve seen out of NZ. Outstanding. Frank Wilden, Business Insider.
…beautiful fruit – ripe, crushed red berries including cranberry – dusted with spice and aromatic herbs, and a penetrating, complex palate with a subtle mineral thrust. 94 points, The Wine Gang (UK).
Exceptionally pale garnet. Not the most expressive at this stage marked more by high acidity than deep flavour. May develop more subtlety. Lovely texture even if only embryonic flavours with a hint of tamarind.
16++ points, Jancis Robinson (March 2016)
This has a deep and darker fruited feel to it with dark cherries, blueberries and plenty of toasted spices. The palate has impressive weight and presence. Tannins are cast in thicker lines and there's a strident acid profile that really drives things along. An impressive wine that could use a little time to bed in.
94 points, Nick Stock (December 2017)
A wonderful mix of ripe, velvety fruit flavors and savory accents, with rosemary, white truffle and Szechuan peppercorn notes. The tannins are polished and smooth, firming on the finish.

Central Otago, located at the southern end of the South Island of New Zealand, is the world’s most southerly wine region. In a short amount of time, the area has established itself as a world-class region for Pinot Noir. The picturesque region is surrounded by mountains ensuring a cool semi-continental climate that experiences a large diurnal range contributing to the creation of intensely concentrated wines with perfume, and complexity. Central Otago’s vineyard area is divided into six distinct sub regions each with their own climate and wine style. Best known for producing intensely Fruity medium to full bodied Pinot Noir, Central Otago’s cool climate also produces outstanding Riesling as well as superb bottle-fermented Sparkling wines.
