Connected to the Land
The BoneLine is deeply connected to the land that nurtures their vines, bequeathed by millions of years of geological activity. That bequest is realised in the form of a series of natural amphitheatres with diverse soils and conditions that produce a wide variety of grapes. As custodians, they manage their vineyards sustainably and are richly rewarded with some of the most exciting emerging wines in New Zealand.
Deeply-tinted red in an elegant style with lifted floral and berry flavours. The texture is reasonably silken and the wine has a lingering finish. Very pleasing red and a good example of the variety. Appealing fruit-sweetness makes it accessible now, but no rush 93 points, The Real Review (10/2017).
