The Familia Zuccardi Poligonos is an aromatic Cabernet Franc from Mendoza, rich with red fruit. It is aged in foudres, so there is very little oak influence, which contributes to its refreshing elegance. It is dry on the palate, with fruit and herbs carrying through.

Medium dark crimson. So utterly fragrant – dark red fruit, graphite and a touch leafy/capsicum but fully ripe. Juicy and so fresh and full of energy. Terrific freshness, light tannins and light overall but so scented. Very fine tannins. Light but long.

This first vintage is very light in color, and the nose shows some evolution with its aromas of brick dust and tea leaves, the herbal and spicy aromas receding and some tertiary aromas developing. The palate is quite polished and advancing quite fast—subtle and elegant, with developed flavors.

This comes from San Pablo in the Uco Valley. Fermented in concrete and aged in 2500 litre foudres. So fresh and supple with fine red cherries. Elegant and fine with lovely precision and drinkability. I love this style of Cabernet Franc.
