Sealed with a cork, this Langhe Nebbiolo is one of the newcomers to the Chiarlo stable.
It features violets and spice on the nose, followed by a palate driven by ripe red fruit and fine tannins.
One of this wine’s brothers (the 2015 Ciprissi Nizza Barbera) was named Wine Enthusiast 2018 #1 Wine of the Year. The pedigree is evident throughout the range.
'A gentle wave of autumnal scents: mulch, dried flower, herb and porcini, wash across the senses. This is a gently extracted wine, woven of a deft twine of tannin and a skein of bright acidity. The finish is subtle, dry and savoury, defying the overt nature of many ’15’s. Of a classic mould with an emphasis on structure over obvious fruit.'
