The 1998 Montrachet is another wine that is quite complete today. A lovely interplay of textures and flavours opens up effortlessly in the glass. Orange/apricot marmalade, butter and sweet spice are all pushed forward in an ample, unctuous Montrachet that delivers notable breadth and textural resonance with plenty of tropical overtones from the presence of botrytis. This is another vintage that is very much in the sweet spot today.
