Langton's Cambridge Road Discovery 3-Pack
The Cambridge Road Vineyard is a small family-owned winery established in 1986 (just down the road from Kusuda Wines). It’s a small winery with relatively low production volumes and that just happen to make world-class Pinot Noir and Syrah.
In the vineyard, the Redgwell family stick to natural, biodynamic and eco-farming principles. They are vignerons first and foremost, cropping their vines for low yields to Grand Cru Burgundy levels, while in the winery it’s all low sulphur and minimal intervention to make living wines.
Cambridge Road Di Dove Sei Syrah + Pinot Noir 2014
This is one of our most creative and naturel wines to date. Syrah and Pinot has been bound together within the confines of our ceramic egg. Wild yeast fermented with a small degree of stems..
Cambridge Road Papillon Blanc 2016
A textural Alsace-inspired white field blend that simply sings
“Love the perfume here, says something strong about complex scents… Absolutely delicious, loads of personality, superb length, maximum impact and deliciousness. Unreal summer wine.”

Cambridge Road Animus Pinot Noir 2013
Pure Pinot farmed by myself over two sites on the Martinborough Terrace. Both sites anchored by deep roots into the premium geology of the area. Full biodynamic farming practices assisted with retaining lovely natural acidity without excessive alcohol. Comprised of several ferments, this wine is marked by a high degree of stem derived structure and aroma. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with less than 10 ppm sulphites.
""A summer white blend, always a co-ferment (natural), loosely based around aromatic varieties”, says winemaker Lance Redgwell. An evolving blend, can have riesling, can have gris, can have grunerveltliner, can have whatever based on season and feel – a wine that strikes a chord. This one has pinot gris and viognier making up about one third of the wine, that got some five days on skins, ‘a textural gift to the wine’, says Redgwell. Making up the rest of the wine is riesling, for spine and freshness. All so considered. Brilliant wine; and I love great white blends like this. Love the perfume here, says something strong about complex scents, citrus, preserved lemon, apple, floral notes, some faint honeyed-nuttiness. Groundswell drags you in. Vibrant and fresh to taste, layered, stone fruit and apples, citrus dart of acidity sits underneath. Absolutely delicious, loads of personality, superb length, maximum impact and deliciousness. Unreal summer wine."

"It’s some 40% whole bunch in the ferment, spends 22 months in oak (old). This is from the two hectare home block, set behind Ata Rangi’s ‘town block’. Brutish, brooding scents, really dark cherry, cherry compote, meat drippings, fire pit, granite and undergrowth. Heady start. The palate floods the senses. It’s not overly powerful, but it does have stacks of dark, inky, moody fruit flavour drenched in spice, earth and dried herbs. It’s big pinot noir, but has lift and freshness too. Pretty epic."

MartinboroughMartinborough is located on the North Island of New Zealand and is the island’s driest area, due to the rain shadow created by the Tararua and Rimutaka Ranges. The district is prone to spring frosts, with wind machines employed throughout the area to protect young vines from frost damage. Martinborough’s climate is cool with some maritime influence and the region enjoys one of the longest growing seasons in New Zealand. There is significant diurnal variation, excellent for preserving aromatics and acidity and the naturally breezy conditions help to curb vine vigour, resulting in low yields of grapes with great intensity and flavor concentration. Over time, the river which runs through the region, has carved out cliffs and escarpments to expose stony sub-soils, helping to create the premium vineyard site of ‘Martinborough Terrace’ built over layers of alluvial river terraces. Martinborough has significant plantings of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Riesling but is best known for producing outstanding Pinot Noir sought the world over.
