Medium to full straw yellow colour, with a complex savoury toasty bouquet featuring cedar, nut, toast, peach and spice nuances. The wine is intense and tight on the palate, dry and clean on the finish, wihich is very long and refined. The concentration of flavour and vitality are impressive. An uncanny white Graves-style dry white. (A 60/40 blend)

Rich scents, heady and pleasing, marzipan, sandalwood, lemon and lime. Plush in texture, smooth, quite intense with layers of flavour, kisses of sandalwood and nougat, fleshy and long. Wonderful, complex, wine.

The slippery texture and creaminess on the palate comes from Beta's barrel fermentation in French oak. It opens up to reveal lemon curd topped with ginger spice cream, nougat, and all delicious flavours while remaining a savoury toned wine.

HentySituated 300 km west of Melbourne in Southwestern Victoria, Henty was named after the first family to settle in Victoria in the 1800’s. The region was pioneered in 1964 by Karl Seppelt, who recognized that the cool climate was ideal for the production of sparkling and aromatic wines. The Seppelts planted 100 hectares at Drumborg in 1964 and this was followed by Crawford River in 1975. The long, gentle autumn ripening period allows the retention of both acid and aromatics crucial for Henty’s flagship variety, Riesling.
