<p>DOMAINE BELLE Les Terres Blanches, Crozes-Hermitage Blanc</p> <p>This white Crozes-Hermitage is normally a blend of 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne from the Domaine Belle’s own Terres Blanches vineyards, organically grown on clay and limestone soils and cropped at 40hl/ha. Viticultural practices include close-pruning, leaf-thinning and green harvesting if necessary to manage yield. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified at low temperature (16°), 20% in new oak barrels, 50% in one-year old oak barrels and 30% in stainless steel vats.</p> <p>The wine then matures for 10 months on fine lees in the same barrels and vats, where it also goes through malolactic fermentation. This golden-yellow cuvée shows the harmony of Roussanne and Marsanne. The nose develops from primary characters of peach, apricot and candied pear through to complexing notes of hazelnut and rose. The palate is full and rich, and typically has a pear-drop character. The wine finishes with freshness, tension and length.</p>
