Meet Misha’s Vineyard, exclusively available in Australia through Langton's. With a meticulous approach to winemaking practices, this Central Otago vineyard has been crafting captivating wines since its debut 2007 trial vintage. It has since gone from strength to strength. Cantata is an elegant and accessible introduction to the label’s family of Pinot Noir.
Chief winemaker Oliver Masters’ pedigree in crafting serious, age-worthy Pinot Noir in New Zealand is undisputed, having spent years at the helm of Martinborough estate Ata Rangi. Now, he’s brought his winemaking expertise to Misha’s Vineyard, crafting Pinot of beauty and distinction. The proof is in the pudding when it comes to Cantata, an expressive and energetic Pinot that perfectly encapsulates what Central Otago wine is all about.
"Perfumed and inviting, the attractively expressed bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, thyme and game characters with nuances of toasted almond and dark mushrooms. The palate delivers juicy fruit intensity and flowing mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by fine texture and silky tannins. At its best: now to 2023"

"A captivating bouquet of Pinot with aromas of light red fruits, wild thyme, baking spices, mild toasty oak and with a distinctive energy. Youthful on the palate with acidity and fine tannins slightly ahead of the core of light red berry fruits, especially cherry then red apple and dried raspberry finishing with whispers of wild thyme and stony soil flavours. With a lengthy and dry finish and just medium weight this wine is perfect for lighter main course dishes or cheese. Decant for service through 2019 with best drinking 2020 through 2026."

"Seamless, silken and supple pinot noir with bright cherry and plum flavours together with a hint of crushed herb, spice and coffee flavours. An elegant, accessible and appealing wine."
98 points, Bob Campbell MW (March 2019)
"Designed principally for 'on-premise' sale in restaurants, this label offers consistently good value. Estate-grown at Bendigo, the 2017 vintage was fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in French oak hogsheads (14 per cent new). Ruby hued, it is floral and supple, with mouthfilling body and fresh, youthful cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing very good ripeness and complexity. A vibrantly fruity, finely textured, very harmonious red, it's already drinking well, but should be at its best 2020+."
4.5 Stars, Michael Cooper, Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines
Central Otago, located at the southern end of the South Island of New Zealand, is the world’s most southerly wine region. In a short amount of time, the area has established itself as a world-class region for Pinot Noir. The picturesque region is surrounded by mountains ensuring a cool semi-continental climate that experiences a large diurnal range contributing to the creation of intensely concentrated wines with perfume, and complexity. Central Otago’s vineyard area is divided into six distinct sub regions each with their own climate and wine style. Best known for producing intensely Fruity medium to full bodied Pinot Noir, Central Otago’s cool climate also produces outstanding Riesling as well as superb bottle-fermented Sparkling wines.
