Lemon citrus, almond meal, lime leaf aromas; bright and intense in the mouth. Oak is subtle. Crisp and dry, savoury and long. The lemon and grapefruit acidity tingles the edges of the tongue. A refreshing, appetising style of chardonnay. Delicious - and would be even moreso with fish.

Parcels cooled, hand-sorted, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented (50% in used oak, the balance in stainless steel), some mlf. Complexity is the watchword.

Personality arguably isn’t its strong point but for pure, soft, seamless chardonnay drinking then frankly it nails it. White peach, nashi pear, sweet cedarwood and toast characters slide confidently along the palate and out through the finish.

Give this some air and it opens up to reveal fresh, lemon and sliced-grapefruit aromas with a fresh, wet-stone edge, too. The palate is very smoothly layered and packs plenty of ripe-lemon and nectarine flavor. Fresh acidity holds it long and juicy.
