"Deep, dense purple/red colour, with concentrated chocolate and plum aromas and flavours, a fair degree of oak but not overdone, and a trace of reduction on the early nose. Dense, powerful, concentrated but all things in harmony. A biggie but a goodie."

"This is a very composed and nicely layered rendition of this top-end shiraz with aromas of cocoa, dark plums, blackberries, cinnamon, licorice and dark cherries. The palate has a very impressive build of ripe dark-fruit and chocolate flavors. Layered and expansive, it swells impressively through the finish. Smoothly resolved and gently spicy."

"A very dry but mild growing season with many cool nights has produced a lifted Shiraz of good intensity and detail. Bright blackberry fruit is riven with red liquorice and fennel seed spice plus dried rose top notes. Plentiful but fine minerally, earthy tannins lend structure and length. For now, wearing its alcohol very well – highly promising. Harvested 6 March to 8 April."

"Deep red colour with a glint of purple and the aromas are fumy and super-ripe and show plenty of alcohol. The wine is big and rich, soft and rounded, with lashings of fine powdery tannins. Concentrated, essency flavour - an impressive wine with a lasting aftertaste. Luxurious stuff."
95 points, The Real Review (Jnauary 2020)
"This is magnificently styled and expressed; the perfumed bouquet shows dark fruit richness with dark chocolate, cedar, potpourri and warm spice characters, followed by a concentrated palate that’s generous and graceful. It’s seamless and flowing with outstanding fruit richness and silky texture, delightfully enhanced by seductive savoury nuances."

"Deeply coloured, this is a wine as much about its region as variety, no mean feat given the depth of the wine. It's the conjunction of blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate and neatly introduced tannins to provide the structure. This ticks all the boxes."
