Our series of Upgrade offers have been designed to give you access to rare and special wines. Simply buying wines you would ordinarily be drawn to, you get to add serious upgrades to your cellar. Save them for a special occasion, put them away for the future or live large mid-week as you pay village prices for grand cru upgrades.
This is one of those offers. The Liandra from Clarendon Hills is a museum offering with more than ten years on the clock; it’s a bold baritone expression of McLaren Vale Syrah. At 50% off by the dozen, we know from experience that this wine would sell out in short order. But it also presented an opportunity for us to offer you an Exceptional Upgrade sitting in the top tier of the Langton’s Classification. A secret bucket-list bottle that’s one of just 22 elite Australian wines and will change the way to think about this style.
In this upgraded dozen you’ll find the following; 11 x Clarendon Hills Liandra McLaren Vale Syrah 2009 1 x Exceptional Upgrade Confidential

Very deep purple-black colored, the 2009 Liandra Vineyard Syrah displays aromas of warm plums, black cherry compote and yeast extract over notes of dark chocolate, toast, licorice and bacon. Concentrated and full bodied on the palate, it has a good level of crisp acid and medium-firm, grainy tannins, finishing long and savory.
