This Confidential is a blend of Frankland River and Mount Barker fruit, either region a watchword for quality. This Riesling comes from a well-respected producer that was put on everyone’s radar in the last couple of years as one of James Halliday’s Dark Horse wineries.
Zinging lemon and lime zest, juice, pith and curd zip across the palate. There’s a wonderful little friction there from a chalky texture that’s dry enough to invite a second sip. You won’t need the excuse but you might want to think about a dozen, just to be sure.
