Access a dozen of the crowd-pleasing 2018 Mitolo Jester Shiraz, and we’ll replace two with the stunning single vineyard 2017 G.A.M. Shiraz. We’ve supercharged ths McLaren Vale Shiraz pack with two bonus bottles and savings of 28%.
In this Mitolo McLaren Vale dozen, you’ll get two bottles of the 2017 G.A.M. Shiraz, and 10 bottles of the 2018 Mitolo Jester McLaren Vale Shiraz.
The G.A.M. is named for Frank Mitolo’s children (Gemma, Alex and Marco), so it’s not an outside bet to call this a special wine. It’s single-vineyard for a start, from the Chinese Block of the Lopresti vineyard. It’s signature palate is concentrated, deep and— particularly in this vintage—intensely savoury. It’s tempered with a lick of new French oak, and is rich in black fruit, a hint of black olive, and spice. Successful ageing is built into the G.A.M. DNA (this one is going to shine brighter and brighter over the next decade).
While the G.A.M. does its thing in your cellar, pour yourself a Jester. A perennial, highly-pourable favourite among Langton’s customers, it’s a fresh, fruit-forward red. With 10 bottles to enjoy, drink some now, and put a few away for later.
Sweetly fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, mulberry, vanilla, clove and roasted hazelnut aromas. It’s equally attractive on the palate, displaying plump mouthfeel and fleshy texture, offering excellent drinking.

The medium to full-bodied 2018 Jester Shiraz is a solid value, offering up scents of ripe blackberries and mulberries. It's juicy, fresh and vibrant, with soft, supple tannins framing the finish. It's ideal for drinking over the next 4-5 years.

It’s perfumed and gorgeously complex on the nose showing blackberry, blueberry compote, violet, cocoa and cedar characters with a light touch of cracked pepper. The palate is concentrated and mouthfilling, loaded with delectable flavours together with rich texture and polished tannins, finishing wonderfully long and gratifying.

Another successful vintage, the 2017 GAM Shiraz is a bit more savory than usual, with meaty notes and hints of black olives joining rich blackberry flavors. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate, it remains juicy and fresh on the finish, picking up hints of cherries and raspberries. It should drink well for a decade.

A very spicy nose with rich dark-plum and blackberry aromas, as well as a gently earthy edge. The palate has tart red-plum and licorice flavors with soft, easy style.
