93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 1% each of Malbec and Petit Verdot, matured for 14 months in French barriques (67% new). Elegance personified, no compromise likewise. Then rack up extraordinary attention to detail, and the Wilyabrup district, the greatest part of the Margaret River. Given these parameters, the fluid grace of this beautiful wine might seem almost inevitable. But, of course, it's not -- it's the distillation of two generations.

Pale colour. Fresh grapefruit, pear, apricot stone fruit aromas with flinty, matchstick notes. Classic in proportion with fresh grapefruit, lemon curd flavours with hints of marzipan, al-dente textures, fine long crisp acidity, attractive creamy richness and density, with underlying yeasty complexity. Finishes minerally with marzipan grilled nut notes. Absurdly complex and sophisticated showing all the shining class of Australian winemaking technology and precision viticulture. Fantastic value.

Both powerful and complex but what length, what elegance. This biscuity, citrussy, yeasty release boasts both character and dare; the line of acidity through the finish is challenging, but ultimately (and then some) successful. It's a statement wine in the best of ways.

Sourced predominantly from a single Eden Valley vineyard. This is a slightly bolder version of the GR Reserve, but has been vinified with restraint from start to finish, part crushed and part whole berry fermentation, matured in French and American oak, (38% new) for 18 months.

A fine oak regime, extrapolated across brimstone, soaring floral scents, purple to blue fruit allusions and a long spicy tail. This is hedonistic, sure, but poised, fresh and delicious. The pH tang part of the equation.

A sultry style of pinot that has plenty of suave red-cherry and fresh-violet aromas. The palate has a very fleshy feel with supple flavors of red and dark cherries. A nice kick of juicy acidity livens up the finish.

Very deep, bright purple/red colour leads into a sweetly ripe, rich berry and violet bouquet which is fruit-driven, vibrant and fresh. Blueberries and herbs. Wonderfully elegant and piercingly intense. An outstanding wine.

Very light yellow-green colour, of a very young wine. There are almond meal and very attractive toasty-honeyed aromas, while the palate is savoury, dry, lean and crisp with bright acidity lingering on a long aftertaste. A very good wine, still quite young and reserved. It could go on for years. Excellent quality.

This moves into refined and very striking style with a wealth of lemons, white peaches and nectarines on offer, as well as nicely curated hazelnut-oak. The smoothly honed palate has deep-set peach flavors and a succulent, cool-mineral and grapefruit finish. The finest Bin 311 to date.
