Bright yellow. A strong mineral quality to the aromas of menthol, honey and powdered stone. On the palate, white peach and plum flavours are enlivened by a repeating element of crushed rock, with a saline component contributing to an impression of strong extract. This wine will be bottled with around 14% alcohol following chaptalization, as in 2013. Michelot owns three parcels in Charmes, two near the top of the slope and one lower down, but this wine comes only from the top two as the lower parcel is being replanted.

Light yellow. Aromas of lemon zest, herbs, menthol and clove. Quite closed on the palate, in a rather rigorous style, with citrus zest and strong mineral flavours dominating. Shows a fine-grained structure but limited sweetness; more rocky than fruity today. Needs at least a couple years of patience.

"The aromas of citronella and nut oil are intense, picking up additional flavors of apple, lemon and stone on the palate. Concentrated and driven by brisk acidity, this ends with a citrus aftertaste. Best from 2018 through 2024."
