'Unequivocally top-drawer Langhe Nebbiolo and a means to experience one of Piedmont’s very greatest estates. The aromas, a chiaroscuro of red to wild dark cherry fruit, flecked by an exotic potpourri of cardamon, root spice, orange zest and dank forest leaves, carnal and autumnal at once, tightly drawn across a detailed join of diaphanous tannins, graphite mineral and transparent acidity, pulling the flavours searingly long and broad as they spiral across the palate. I have tasted many a Barolo that is not a patch on this.'
