Pinot Grigio/Gris

Pinot Gris, or Pinot Grigio as it is also known, is a grape variety responsible for a slew of increasingly fashionable dry white wines throughout the world.

This is as much for their agreeable flavours of pear, apple and moderate acidity; as it is for the ease with which the name slips off the tongue. Indeed, Pinot Gris has become the most widely consumed dry white wine in the United States after Chardonnay, with soaring popularity in the United Kingdom and Australia.
