Today Pierre and Christian Gouges, grandsons of Henri, run the 14.5 hectare domaine with the next generation now joining in. Joh. Jos. Prüm is an esteemed German wine producer based in Bernkastel-Wehlen, in the Mosel region. The Prüm family have been growing grapes and making wines in Wehlen for over 400 years. Founded in 1911 by Johann Josef Prüm, the estate was managed from the 1920’s onwards by Johan’s son Sebastian who established the estate’s wine styles and reputation for quality during the 1930s and 1940s. Although Sebastian died in 1969, the family continues to run the business to this day.
