About this wine
Château Belgrave 5me cru classé Haut-Médoc
Château Belgrave, a distinguished 5ème Cru Classé from Haut-Médoc. With origins dating back to the 18th century, this estate is renowned for its exceptional terroir and commitment to quality.
In the vineyard, grapes are carefully selected then fermented in stainless steel vats to retain their purest expression. The wine then ages in French oak barrels, with around 40% being new, imparting subtle complexity and structure.
Each vintage of Château Belgrave offers a delightful bouquet of blackberry, cassis, and a hint of earthy notes. On the palate, you’ll find rich flavours of dark fruits, complemented by delicate spice and well-integrated tannins, leading to a smooth, lasting finish. This wine represents outstanding value, making it a prized addition to any collection and a pleasure for any occasion.

Jane Anson
Austere, but well built, layers that build slowly but surely, plenty of white and black pepper spice, leafy but fragrant, this is enjoyable, classic and balanced, a little old school but full of pleasure. Harvest 23 September to 7 October. 28% new oak

Wine Advocate
The 2024 Belgrave offers up aromas of oak, smoke, moka and spices followed by a moderately weighted, tannic and firm palate framed by brittle, compact tannins, concluding with a short, spicy finish.

Good depth here, showing tapenade, some very fresh dark currants, paprika and minty black cherries. Medium- to full-bodied with structured, granular tannins and a powerful but juicy finish. 64% cabernet sauvignon and 36% merlot.
