Domaine Moreau-Naudet, Chablis

Moreau-Naudet has become one of the most closely followed producers in Chablis. Initially founded in the 1950s, the domaine was redefined by Stéphane Moreau, who pursued a more expressive, terroir-driven style. Farming is organic, and the vines, many of which are old, are rooted in Kimmeridgian limestone across several villages and premier cru sites. Fermentations are spontaneous, and élevage takes place in a mix of stainless steel, older barrels, and large-format foudre, depending on the site and vintage. The result is a Chablis that balances structure and precision with texture and depth. The nose typically presents notes of citrus, fennel, and wet stone. The palate is dry, linear, and saline, with a subtle lees influence and a finish that builds with air. It’s a wine that reflects its source with clarity and ages well. Moreau-Naudet Chablis continues to draw attention from collectors and sommeliers across Europe, the US, and now Australia.
